ROYAL KINGINTERNATIONAL SUITS

Explore fabric options

A guide to the fabric types we can discuss with you, from tropical wools and linens for the island climate to cashmere and melton for colder destinations.

This is a fabric guide, not a stock list. Availability changes, so please confirm with our tailor which cloths are in the shop. Compositions and weights are confirmed for each specific fabric when you choose it. Swatches are drawn illustrations of each weave.

102 fabric types

Suit fabrics

Cloths for suits, jackets and trousers, from tropical weights for island heat to heavier cloths for cooler destinations.

Shirt fabrics

Shirtings differ mostly in weave. Poplin is smooth, oxford is textured, twill drapes, and linen breathes.

Dress & women's tailoring fabrics

Which fabric suits which garment depends on the cut, the construction, the climate, the drape you want and your own preference. Your tailor will help you choose.

Overcoat & jacket fabrics

Heavy winter cloths and light tropical cloths do very different jobs. In Koh Samui's warm climate a light jacket is worn locally, while a heavier overcoat is usually made for travel or for life at home in a colder country.

Suit & garment linings

Linings help a garment slide on, hang well and last. They can also add a private flash of colour.
